I need help putting in simple valley rafters where the dormer roof meets the main rrof. What are the steps?

normally you simply go to "roof design", right-click on the valley line and select "valley rafter".

at first you need a roof calculation, which creates the shape lines of the roof.
Then go to roof design, and add rafters, purlins, valley rafters...I can hardly believe, that this could be a problem... :roll:

Hi Robin,
in the roof module, creating a valley rafter is a matter of three mouse clicks. If you want to create it in Dicam, it is rather a complex task, but it is not impossible: Just enter a constant section from Point to Point, move it to the desired height, use 3-03-1 valley cut to create the valley and use several cut offs to create the rafter ends.
