We could not get Dietrichs running on my wifes computer under Windows Vista-waiting for a hardlock driver from Alladin.
Back to my computer. There definitely is something wromg in the start up process as I always get the DHPZEN.exe error message. However, when I right click on the D icon and choose Run As, then uncheck the Protect My Computer box, the program opens!! What is going on!!!!
Any help is much appreciated!desparate, Robin
You are absolutely right! I was able to open up the Dietrichs program as you directed, on my wife's computer. Now I am working on installing the Kunde file so that the program can find the hardlock. I hope this will work. Un- fortuntately I cannot get my file off my own computer to transfer it to my wife's compouter. We did transfer this file back in October, so most of the file is there-just not the changes we have made since then.
I will keep you posted. Meanwhile, I would really like to know why I cannot open Dietriches on my own computer!
cheers, Robin
My computer is about 3 years old with XP. I purchased it in order to be able to run Diterichs. It has the power and the large screen. I have not other computer that would work. We tried to load it in my wife's new computer but the Dietrichs version is not compatible with Vista. All other prgrams and functions are working on my computer. Dietrichs is the only program not working.
I will be talking with Will Monday morning if I cannot correct the problem. I personally think it is correctable as this file is one used to open the prgram.
Robin
thanks so much for your replies
When this error message appeared back in October, I spoke with Will @ Dietrichs NA. He tried several things and could not resolve it. He thought it was a windows problem or prehaps a virus!
So with help from my friend, we reformatted my hard drive!!! Big Job. We loaded Ditetrichs and everything was fine. Since then I have been using Dietrichs. Then this morning I got this error message again. Since we reformatted the hard drive in October, I did not set up my computer to use the internet. So between then and now, my computer which has Dietrichs loaded has never been hooked up to the internet. Therefore, this problem was not caused by any virus, etc.
I do not know what I did to cause this error message again! The only thing I can think of is removing the hardlock during the shut down process. I am not sure that I did this either. It is very very frustrating because I travelled two hours to work on Dietrichs today to try and finish our house project. We just got the final drawings and changes required by the engineer and I need to make those changes in Dietrichs file and print shop drawings for work in the shop this week.
I have not changed anything at all.
your help is greatly appreciated,
frustrated, Robin

this morning when I clicked on the Dietrichs icon, I got an error message:
DHPZEN.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I cannot open up Dietrichs!!!!
I desparately need help to get Dietrichs going,
frustrated, Robin
When I double click on the dietrichs icon to open the program, with hardlock installed in the usb port, the following error message appears:
DHPZEN.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. Then I say no to "do you want to send an error meaasage to Microsoft?". Then the error message window closes and I am back at my desk top.
I need help!!
thanks Robin
Thanks gentleman. My timber list has a column labeled, "Item No.".
The information in this column are not numbers. It simply reads, "SPF" for each item. What I need is a list that shows all the item or timber numbers as labelled on each part in my drawings.
Does that explain my situation?
Robin
When I go to my timber lists, there are no timber #'s or S#'s. They were there in the past and I have printed the list with these numbers. Now the only information in this column is "SPF". Can anyone direct me on how to bring back or create lists with these important numbers? I thought I could try a new sort, but that may create new timber numbers, which I really do not want to do.
Any feedback is appreciated for this time sensitive problem.
best regards around the world, Robin
