Hi everyone
When opening an OpenGL view in walkthrough mode, what is the default height of the 'camera' above 0,0 before you pan up or down?
Cheers

Hi Rob,
there seems to be no definition for the camera height. The first view of the building is shown with the same view angle as you turned it in Dicam, and the center of the building will be center in OpenGL.
Hi Planer
Yes, you can't set the height anywhere, but the programme must have this data locked somewhere inside it - it would be nice to think the height is about 1.8m - because as soon as you change from centre view to walk through the view changes.
Perhaps Herr Neumann can tell us.
Rob
No he can't, he too doesn't know anything about that.
WAS IST DAS????
Hr Neumann does not know the answer!!!!
I cannot believe this, tell me it's not true!
I guess, he has just lost his dictionary
Hi Rob,
here is the perfect solution for real visualisation of a building:
1. put some folks into your 3d world.

2. push and turn them exactly to your prefered point of view and give them a camera.

3. move the scene in OpenGL, so that you have a look through the person's eyes,
then you see the real propotions of the planned building.

4. BUT: do never give the camera to your wife.
She's not only 4 inches shorther than you
and standing 3 feet beside you.
What you saw was very exactly.
Believe me or not, what she will see from her point of view
is rather different...

...it's REAL!
