Cullen Timber Design, based in Hertfordshire, England, is looking to recruit two timber frame designers to join our small and happy team.

Our work load covers all aspects of timber frame design, including green oak, softwood, eco-frames, glulam post and beam, interlocking log cabins, SIPs and CLT. We have a reputation for being involved in complex and geometrically challenging projects, which allows us to show what we and Dietrich's can really do.

If you are seeking a position within the industry where two days are never the same, you would earn an attractive salary and you would enjoy working in a collaborative environment then please submit your CV to Rob Cullen at contact@cullentimberdesign.com

You could ask your client to export the Dietrich's file to Sketchup (assuming he has that module) and then anyone can view it.

I have noticed that one of my projects has got some MZB files and one MTB file.

I think these might be as a result of the project database crashing, but can anyone confirm this and is it OK to delete them?

Cheers

Rob

Hi Joe

Is this problem going to be fixed in Version 12?

Rob

Hi Joe

What deturmines where the overview is placed? I must have an incorrect setting, because they are fine on walls without elements but incorrect on walls with elements. Any help would be gratefully received.

Cheers

Rob

Hi Joe

Also, when importing wall drawings with elements, the storey overview is much too close to the wall panel drawing. Maybe this too can be fixed.

Hi All

When I am bringing in a wall drawing into PlanCAD which has elements within it, the horizontal and vertical sections are not displayed correctly. It is as though there is a hidden line view of the studs or lintels - they are not shown with a cross within them like they should be.

Is this a bug or am I not choosing the right settings?

I hope he's kept his medical insurance payments up. I shudder to think how long he'd have to wait for that sort of treatment in the NHS here in the UK.

Hi Jim

Just wondering if you'd heard any more about Woody's recovery. He certainly appears a bit poorly whenever I try to put him in a building!

Rob

Hi Guys

Can you tell me what the missing text is please?

Could do with the latest FRG files if that's possible.

Cheers

Rob

Thanks Joe

Hi Joe

Will this be different in V12.............please say "Yes.!"

Rob

Hi Joe

Leaders are bits of text with arrows associated to them.

In PlanCAD menu 6-8-2

Rob

Hi All

We have just tried to export a PlanCAD drawing as a DXF. We have noticed that when we open the DXF in Bricscad (we don't have AutoCAD) that the leaders have disappeared. Using 11.04.

Anybody else noticed this?

Cheers

Rob

Hi Steve

Yes it is, no problem. It's a bit tedious to explain in writing - give me a call and I'll go through it with you if you wish.

Rob

HI Steve

Is this what you need.

Rob

Hi Thorvald

Same here, just recalculate the roof and it is fine.
