Hello Kayaker,
we don not have this functions since version 8.01. It is more comfortable to enter the shape in the database of the project data program. Most of the used shapes in metal and wood are entered yet. So nobody was missing this functions until now and you are the first as I know.

Hi Joachim,
Can they be brought back into the pull down menu? It was a nice simple short cut. In the project data program, I do not understand the language. See attachment.
Thanks!

Hi Kayaker,
you do not need this buttons to enter your shapes. This buttons are just filters to reduce the shown materials. We will get the text translated with one of the next versions.
I am sorry but it would be a lot of work to get this functions into the actual version and just very few people were using them. It would not be just a "bring back work" because we would have to insert them into the new system.
As I told you above you are the first who is missing this functions since december last year. -
Yeah - I have almost never used these functions - but I have used a lot (!!) to make my own shapes in material database. Even complex shapes as concrete hollow core slabs, thinplate steel profiles, stair profile etc., etc. It is in fact very easy to work with.

Thorvald,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on using the material database to create shapes.

That sounds way cool. How do I do that

-
#ArgentaHans - how do you do what?
-
How do I make shapes in the database?
-
Hello Hansi,
create a new item number, and write the shape coordinates into the list. After every couple of coordinates, the shape will have one more line.
When finished, you can push, turn, mirror the whole shape, just as you need it.

INTERESTING, I'LL HAVE TO TRY THAT OUT
THANKS
