When I did an extrude this beam with a curve in it looks rough. Can anyone explain how to smooth it out? Please see attachment.

Dicam is not the best tool to convert arcs. When I need smooth extrusion beams, I import only straight lines as assisting geometry. So I can define the smoothness for myself.

Hi Der_Planer,

I have made extrudes like this before and had much better results than this one. The segments are not even symmetrical.

Hi Kayaker,

the number of arc segments depends on the diameter, and you cannot define it anywhere. I also had beams that had ugly symmetry, until I made my own symmetrical lines in 2D, and imported them for the extrusion.
