    Hi Hans,

To make this process easier use the command 1-1-6 for each individual wall, ceiling, and roof volume. You can quickley select the pieces by using the Building MOS 6-4. Once you are ready to insert the pieces with 1-1-7 be sure to set the Building MOS to the correct voulme and layer. This way all the pieces will be in the correct MOS.

Thanks everyone, that is exactly what I was looking for.

Jens, can you briefly explain a couple rules that may apply when woking with projects that are shared on the network. What happens if two people are woking on the same project at the same time?

If I understand this question correctly I would also like to know if this is possible. Right now when I go to open up a project I cannot see my shared folders that are on my local network.

The same rule applies when I use the project copy function 1-6 from the menue screen. In the destination window I can not see my local network places.

Galloppini, please let me know what you mean as "connect as a web unit".

    Hi Joe,

If we cannot import a MiTek file why do we still have it as an option in the program? Can you please clarify if this function is not an option any more.

    Thanks,

When I store a wall drawing 1,01,6 in wall design there is a selection to "show adjacent walls and ceilings". After I save the drawing and open it in D-Cad the ceiling and wall above only display about 20" from the bottom of the ceiling upward. Is there a way to increase this amount to show the whole wall above?

    Thanks for the reply guys,

Both ways would work as a manual function. My problem is that I have many notches to make and I wish I did not have to edit every process to make the notch all the way through the beam.

If the notch does not go all the way through the beam I can transfer the process to the small beam as a #4 notch. Now I can activate all my larger beams and select "3,1,9 reprocess". This way all the notches are finished in one mouse click. I only with that I could do this so the notch goes all the way through the beam.

    Thanks again,

Hi Joe, thank you for the reply.

I also noticed that after I recover the original length I can select "save as" and the new list is saved with the original length.

    Thanks again,

When I am in the editing list and select "extras, recover original length" the original length appears but after I save, close and go back into the list the original length is not shown.

    Should the original length show?

    Hi Rob,

It seems that you are definitley correct by saying that the "lintels relate solely to openings and not walls."

I wanted my lintels to be placed 38mm down from the top wall edge on multiple wall heights but the same opening height. Markus said that this may be possible with the new TFW.

I attached a picture to make sence of my question.

    Thanks,

The guide line I am trying to create needs to position the lintels 38mm down from the top of the wall edge for multiple wall heights.

I can offset the lintel to my desiered height but the same "opening type" cannot apply if I change the wall height.

Is there a way I can do this with one "opening type"?

In program 5.05 after I bring in a stored image the first command I select changes the current layer to hidden every time and the hidden layer is turned off. Now if I just select the layer command and go back to the drawing it automatically turns on the hidden layer and still keeps it current.

Please let me know if we can get a fix on this.

I selected two parallel points when I should have selected two vertical points to define the area of the section. [-X

Seems that I need practice reading the command text in the lower left corner of the screen.

    Thank you Wil and Markus!

I created a vrml file some time in the New Year of 2006 and noticed that you dont have to add the textures any more.

That is a nice feature! :grinning_squinting_face:

    Thanks,
