Well I have more than one pla-file (in fact 20). The last is 25 mb, and in total they are 57 mb.

No one have an idea about what can be wrong?

Well - I get a timberlist if a make images for all stories. But now I have images, that are not necessary, and that might make the function "Insert stored image very slow (see also other topic).

Hi.

The function "Insert stored image" is working very slowly. I have to wait quite long time ½-1 minute, before before I get into the dialog box, where I choose the image to insert. Is it possible to delete some of the images? Would it help?

Suddenly there is no timberlist to be inserted on the drawing. This happens for interior walls where I have chosen to get layer 0, 1 & 2 as 3 seperate images. For wall 25, t.ex. there are following images: GF 2 Wall 25 (empty), GF 2 Wall 25_0, GF 2 Wall 25_1 & GF 2 Wall 25_2.

When I took out the drawings from Dietrischs I choose the option wall selection to be able to select only interior walls. What can have happened!!??

I know there are good ways to copy a drawing in Plan-Cad, and to change the drawing info. But I was thinking of another way:

If you have 2 stories that are completely equal (perhaps with a few differences on a few walls), I was thinking about the following way to copy the production drawings for 1. floor to 2. floor, t.ex. Simply copy the .plf files and change the numbers, so they are correct. In this way all drawings are copied at once, and it is much faster, than to copy drawing by drawing in Plan-Cad.

Perhaps this could also be a easier way to insert wall drawings - t.ex if the plan has changed and some extra walls are inserted. Then to have the wall drawings coming in the correct order you just rename the plf numbers so you leave space for 2 new walls at the correct place.

Would this work?

I still have the problem with D-Cad, and it is quite irritating.

The mouse pointer does not freeze - the computer is "thinking" If I press the mouse button the Dietrichs screen fades into white - so that the lines etc. looks like looking through glass. I don't know how to explain, the screen does not become completely white, but it fades a little. And esc does not help either.

OK - it seems to work quite well when she sends drawings to me for check, and I send drawings to her with comments.

Next: I am finished to work t.ex. with walls for a house and I want to send this position to her, so she can make production drawings of these walls. I have taken out ground plans and wall drawings in the Dietrichs construction software. with function 1-01-6 for walls. Is this saved in the position?

So all I have to do is to send the packed position to her, and when she makes drawings, she will be able to insert the images on the drawings?

Yeeaahh, Der_planer - I have already found out, that to find the actual drawings in plf, and zip them and send them, would be ok solution.

And yes if I take all drawings, the file is big because half of the drawings contains pictures of the elements.

Now I tried also second option "drawings", but even zipped the file is 45 mb, and her computer freezed when trying to send with e-mail.

Now I really don't know what to do!! Of course she can just make PDF-file of the drawings and send to me, but that is not what I want. I want to be able to open the drawings on my computer, if I need to make changes, etc.

Anyone can see a solution???

Jens Krause: I tried now the function 3-2 and packed D-Cad storages. But I cannot find *.zl1 files but *.zla I can find. Is that the file I should send to my computer. Or maybe it was not "D-Cad storages" I should pack, but the secon option "drawings"?????

Now I tried to save the plf-file, that I attached to an e-mail on her computer. And I saved it in the project folder under the specifik project. But the drawings are not there, when I open D-Cad.

Is this method not working?

And if I / she use the menu 3-2, I guess that it is all drawings for the whole project that is packed.

I would like to have it so, that she only send me drawings for the position that she worked on.

Here is absolutely something for the wish list. It seems to be too difficult to work with exchanging drawings. In AutoCad, a drawing is a file, that you easily can attach to an e-mail. I would suggest, that when you are where you open positions, and you have the posibility to pack and e-mail a position: In this roll down menu where you can choose "e-mail attachment" there could be these options:
- e-mail attachment 3D position
- e-mail attachment position drawings

In this way it would be very nice and easy to exchange drawings!!

Does anyone know if it will be ok to say "ok" to overwrite an exisiting plf-file??

I tried to send the plf files to me, but when I want to save it in the project directory, it says that the file already exist - Why - since I have not maked any drawings for that position?? And can I just overwrite it without any problems??

So - for example - if she makes drawing (plan number) 1 - 50, and I make number 101 - 148, then if she send me the drawings 1 - 50, then I in my library of drawings will have both her and my drawings??

The menu 3-2 seems to be on project level - while the plf files can be taken on position level? The plf files seems only to be 200-300 kB.

So t.ex. she should find this file for position 22: 07152022.plf, and send to me? Why she should compress it?

And where is "Dietrich's Menu (3-2)"??

It is not possible that we both can work on the same position (making drawings for the same position) - I guess this will not be posible.

Another option could be that she is working on a copy of the position, and then she can just send that position to me directly from the start window of Dietrichs. And then we could split the drawings between us, if we need to finish that position faster.

I think that the point is, that my software seat is new - new hardlock key and so on. I have written a e-mail to hotline with the requested information.

And here is my programs - what will happen if I delete these 3 folders, and then make a new installation??

The last one was because I needed to give it another name during installation.

Here you see what I get, when I start the CD.

I can add, that I have already version 6.02, and the new is also 6.02 but updated with some modules I did not have before, and upgrading to premium version etc. Can there be something there?
