Well - to apply the program for a wider span of countries rules´, is of course quite a job. Making the program for Eurocodes could perhaps be easier - but there would still be a need to adjust for national annexes. This could be something that is up to the user to input (factors for loads and load combination). But then there are basic nature loads - snow and wind - and that is very different from country to country - so I can understand if it will take a while to implement it. - In Norway up to 800 kg/m2 and in Spain none? But I will look forward to it - I like the idea and concept of this type of structural calculation software.

Hmmm.... :-k But what is the purpose of using that function, making walls current in D-Cam?
-
But you get the window names on your paper floor plan? I am not sure what exactly it is that you want more?
-
Yes, but you can do it in Dietrichs before you output the machine files. That would be the normal way to do it.
I am fine - still going strong with work and Dietrichs.
-
As far as I know it is for now only available in German. Later it will be available for a wider span of countries. That is how I understood it. Until now you will also only find information about the program under the German language version of Dietrich webpage.

Hi.
You know that you can give door and window openings names? I do this, when I input "architect windows" and doors, t.ex. called F9X21 (width module 9 and height module 21 => 900x2100). Then these names fits with the architect's names on the architect plans, and you can get them on your drawing as well, when you make wall plans. It makes it easier to check if you have made the windows of correct size etc. -
Hmm, sounds strange. I can do it with my BA walls as well as other walls. Aaah that was activating, try again. Ok, but that I can also do. Though - I don't see the purpose of doing it.

See my answer in the other thread.

Well I would make another piece of wood and put it so it "fills" the hole you want. And then in D-Cam use intersecting volumes, to remove the wood you want to remove.
-
Yeah, I was thinking about that also - to use PlanCad. But finally I found a better solution - see gpsvizualiser, at the bottom.

Hi.
Does any one know how to make such a map with distance rings, as shown on attached figure? I looked at Google Earth and Google Maps, but there seems not to be such a function. -
Hi.
One have the options to show "textures and edges (4)" that I use most and "translucent objects (5)", that I use sometimes. Is it possible to mix the 2. I mean perhaps I have objects inside another object (could be steel details inside some wood or concrete). Then I would like to ask if it is somehow possible to show the main object translucent (5) and the inside objects "normal" (4)???

#ArgentaHans - how do you do what?
-
Yeah - I have almost never used these functions - but I have used a lot (!!) to make my own shapes in material database. Even complex shapes as concrete hollow core slabs, thinplate steel profiles, stair profile etc., etc. It is in fact very easy to work with.

Hi.
Normally when you put up inside walls in groundplan module, you let them just connect to other walls. And then a inside wall that is standing perpendicular to another inside wall, will cut through the boards layers.
In this case, I wanted to let the gypsum boards (fibre gypsum) go through and the perpendicular wall will just be connected at the outside of the gypsum. So I adjusted the perpendicular walls to the outline of the first wall. The boards outline, was still split at the points of the perpendicular walls. Then I adjusted the perpendicular walls to 1 1nd then 2 mm from the first wall. The boards outline, was still split at the points of the perpendicular walls. Then I moved the first wall 10 mm away, then the boards outlines where not split. Then I can place my boards and move the wall 10 mm back again.
But why is it not enough to adjust the perpendicular walls to the outline of the first wall or to 1 or 2 mm away??

All right - even more strange: There seems to be 2 copies to delete...
-
Ok - I think I see it better now - If in D-cam I view only wall volumes, I see my actual wall volumes (those I want). But if I use activate function I see also some hidden wall volumes (the old ones, that should not be there, because they are some kind of leftovers, from wall volumes that are changed). So these I could activate and delete - I think.

Dear Florian. Ok, I am not exactly sure, what exactly you suggest I do. But I will look at it later - I would like to finish first what I am doing now and then see what it takes to clean the model for the multiplied walls.
-
I have no idea also, how this have happened. I have been working as normal... But if I delete all the activated members, I will delete everything, including the walls, I should keep??? I am almost finished to make constructions in the 2 storey part, so this I of course don't want to delete. But if possible, I should of course clean the model somehow, before I send it to my drawer, for making of production drawings.

Ok, I try. I am not sure if it is all walls, but I have a feeling that it is. And now I have been working to make these walls for final project.
First, I had a preliminar project, where I made the walls as simple panels, just to be able to show a 3D model. Even in that first position, I can't delete these panels now. (also attached).
