I see in D-cad 2D there are several types of hatches available; I would like a horizontal clap board siding hatch. Can someone please advise how to create special hatches?

There are no user-defined hatches. More types of hatches are already in the wish list.

So there is no way to create a user defined hatch yet in Dietrich's. In other words one must draw in the hatch manually and trim the hatch to fit around windows doors etc. Are we going to be able to create our own "user defined hatches" in the near future?

No you will not be able to do that but we will create new hatches in the future.
