Sorry, but I don't understand what your question means "approach ... from another angle". (my bad English knowledge)

Hi Der_Planer,
Can I do it another way? With out this measuring tool. Using the D-Cam modules in sequence ground, wall, roof ?

Of course, you can.
Instead of measuring the real walls, you can take the measures out of the architect plan.
Walls: in ground floor you cannot create round walls. But in Dicam, there are at least 2 possibilities:
- extruding assisting geometry with 2-5, or
- make a half circle ring 2-1-3 and use it as wall. The roof can be made with as many segments as you need, by using the normal roof design.
- Make a new building outline, using the edges of the Dicam half ring.
- with 2-7, select all except line_2, and give them a pitch (or slope?) example: 35°
- As you see in the picture, side 1+3 need a correction --> measure point to line (see purple arrows)
- change side 1+3 to the measured slope (a little fewer than 35°, take a 6 digit precision)
- put in some beams, and get the deal.

Thanks Der_Planer,
You’re my Hero! Now I must close the deal y!

Hi Kayaker,
after work comes fun:
What about an other forum avatar? Do you like the one I just painted?

Hi Der_Planer,
I like it very much!
Avatar must mean picture or photo? That would be great to be able to use it!Thanks!

I think, Joachim Neumann will soon change it against the ugly questionmarkface.

I'm always a bit late in getting on board with a discussion topic, but, here are a few pictures of a cone shaped project from earlier this year...
