I have an 8' wall and would like to have 3' of brick at the lower portion of the wall and 5' of board and batten. Can someone explain the best way to handle this?
Thanks!

Make only one wall with a brick slice.
But I think, I would prefer to make two different walls.
If all exterior walls have brick walls, I would even create a new storey for the brick walls.
Hi Der_Planer,
So your thinking it is best to create two levels of walls one three feet high for the brick wall, and one five feet high for the board and batten? When I did this I had no problem with inserting windows because they were up into the board and batten area of my second story. My problem occurred with inserting a door that needed to cut through both wall surfaces.
Thanks!

Well, you have to input a door opening for each wall. The opening must not devide the wall. You should leave 1/16" at the bottom, or if not possible, make 2 single walls beside the opening.
Thanks Der_Planer,
I'll give it a try !
