Dimension Steel Plate

    I did a single beam drawing of a steel plate. In PlanCad, the plate came in skewed and of little use for a shop drawing. I deleted the dimensions but still had problems dimensioning to the center of the holes parallel to the steel edge. I can locate assisting geometry lines to help dimension correctly, but it takes more time. How can this be resolved any other way?

    You don't need any measure, if you give a dxf file to a laser cnc machine.
    You could also give a 1:1 print to your metalworker.


    If you still need measures, the first two clickpoints define the direction of the measure line. Click two edge points, and then insert the drillings. You will need no assisting geometry.
