I deleted all processes and did a unite shapes. Now I am having trouble doing perpendicular drillings?
Perpendicular Drillings

Drillings at the upper face could be impossible, because there is no material.
The other faces should accept drillings. What about the coordinate system? Where is your local x-axis?
I guess, you try drillings into the end faces? -
Der_Planer,
I am attaching another JPEG. image. You can see the assisting geometry points in location showing the faces I want to drill. The JPEG drilling wrong shows the drilling received when trying to drill the larger upper plate I receive a message wrong process.
Thanks!

I think, you did not not understand me.
You have switched on the global coordinate system, but that's not interesting.
Every part has it's own system, you can see it with 2-07-1
and you can change it with 2-07-2 (only parts with no processes). You can also switch on the axis of all parts (1-7-1 Dicam - axis) to see the part's length direction.
Once more: I guess, the direction of the axis in your column cap is wrong.
When you unite 2 parts with different coordinate directions, the result will have the direction of the 2nd selected part.Perpendicular drillings can not be made in end faces, only in side faces.

Hi Kayaker,
As previously discussed if you still would like a material list of all the steel plates you cannot unite all the pieces.
Also if you do unite the pieces you cannot use perpendicular drilling 3-04-5. You will need to use point to point 3-04-6.
