Where does one setup a preferred line thickness so that when drawings are sent to plancad 2D, "beam lines" come in at the preferred line thickness? This would eliminate the need for changing various lines each time.Weight
Line Weight Setting

You can define line thickness in Plancad layer menu and save the empty drawing (with all settings) as a template.
-
The default value for line weight can be set in dialogbox 1-7-1.
The idea of Planer too works fine. With this idea you can set different line weights for different layers. -
Is there a print out or file of standard layers automatically created in Dietrich's this would help to set up a template.

Hi Kayaker,
the easiest way to make a drawing template with the necessary layers text styles etc. is to use an existing drawing. For example, if you want to make a template with altered layers for the rafter-plate drawing you do the following steps:
1. Create a rafter plate drawing
2. Change the layers, dimension styles, text styles, page layout etc.
3. Delete all drawing objects (lines, points) from the main view port
4. In the properties of the view port, set the scale of the view port back to 1:0
5. Save the drawing as a templateBest regards,
