Problem importing OE6 mail into Windows Vista's Mail.

    Hello.


    Does any of you had problems with importing e-mail folders and messages from Outlook Express 6 to Windows Vista's new version of Outlook Express, i.e. Windows Mail. I have copied all mail folders from XP, and Windows Mail does see the folders totally correct, but it does not import them.


    I would like to try to start from fresh by reinstalling Windows Mail, to get rid of eventually wrong installation, but I don't know how.

    Yes, I had exactly the same problem with my sister's PC (I have no Vista).
    There is a bug in Vista, but with Google I found a good (german) description how to handle this problem, and it worked!
    It was something with pathnames, that were doubled by Vista...

    I think I know about these double path names - but it still did not work for me. But maybe it is not the same problem we had.


    My solution was to install another e-mail program (Thunderbird) - I gave up on Windows Mail and also Outlook.
