I have a question about the term "timber grade"- e.g. C24/C24M, what is the meaning of it. Where can I find this Standard. I am from Romania, and here we have other Standards, so where can I find an equivalent of this.
Thanks

Hi George
In the UK the timber grades are explained here:

Hope this helps

C24 timber grade is from Eurocode standard. If you don't find what you're are looking for, ask again. Maybe you should get hold on "Eurocode 5 - Design of timber structures, part 1-1", but I don't know if that is valid in Romania. Older "names" for C24 is T24 or maybe K24 (but I think that is a Danish term). I have the mentioned Eurocode - see picture. Well no, I thought there was a description of the timber grades, but I could not find it. Sorry.
