If you have your settings in Dicam 1-7-5 set to feet- inch
and you want to enter measurement of 1 5/8" just type 1.625
If you want to enter 2' 1 5/8" just type 2.1.625 or alternative 2.1.5.8
If your settings are set to inches you can only enter decimal inches

if you are working in ft-in mode the syntax is as folows:
inches . decimals
feet . inches . decimals
feet . inches . numerator . denominator
Example:
2 
2"
2.238 2.238"
2.2.38 2' 2.38"
2.2.3.8 2' 2 - 3/8"
.2.3.8 2 - 3/8 "
If you are working in inch mode you work in decimal inches only.
