In version 8, adding fixtures with tenons is great, but how do I use this feature? What parameters do I need to use when creating a peg so they have added length and show up on a timber list?
Thanks,
Peter
Adding fixtures (pegs) with tenons

Hi Peter,
You have to create or have a fixture (Peg) in the material data base.
With the tenon function You have to input the drilling and fixture. If you don't put an extra lenght in the fixture additional length field, the fixture is the lenght of the thickness of the beam that gets the mortise. -
Hi Peter,
1. Create the fixture in the material data base
2. Create a mortise that includes the fixture (peg)
3. Store a material list and put a check mark in the "Metal Connector / Fixture List" option
4. Create a list setting in project data that will display your desired information in a list
5. In project data output the "Metal Connector / Fixture List"Below are the settings that I am using.

Thanks Wil and Jason. I hadn't worked with the "fixture list" before. It all makes sense now.

And if you know the costs of these per unit, you can add that in the material data base as shown in Jason's first image (12-03-2009 7-40-08 pm.jpg) in the line price/unit. And when you do a cost list the price will be there as well.
