I don't remember what I paid. But it wasn't very much and it guaranteed me a contract, so I pretty much felt it paid for itself.
I followed your link. Those renderings are than I provided. It's not the type of service I provide. I just gave them the Sketchup file for them to view and share the model easily

I have used this format to export to Google Sketchup, which has been a successful way of sending my model to someone who doesn't have Detrich's.

Nice work Dan!

Hi Joachim, I'm trying to think of how to present my problem. I'll get back to you.

Hi joachim,
my harddisk is only 50% full. -
Hi All.
I haven't been designing for a while so I've not used my Dietrich's software very much. I've started working on a new project and am finding the program takes a long time to save and store drawings. Could I have possibly changed something in the file path by accident which make it take a long time to save. Any help would be appreciated.

Very Cool Roof :applause:
Did you end up using "direct free roof faces"?

When I first started working with Dietrich's, I worked on my small laptop screen. For the last couple of years I have worked with my laptop connected to a 22 inch screen. Now, when I work away from home on my laptop screen, some of the dialogue boxes don't fit on my screen. The printing command in most modules except d-cam don't fit on my screen. I can't get to the OK button. Is there a setting somewhere that I should know about?

Thorvald,
There seems to be a smart tag called zierpfostenNever tried it
Good luck -
Jason, that sounds really cool. Can you elaborate on what you call the #4 processes?
I thought I saw you insert a spline once on a a user's meeting and seeing the drilling happen automatically; but I thought it was wishful thinking.
Apparently not.
Cheers

Hi Dan,
I have absolutely no idea how that happened.
I noticed when I turned the volumes off in Dicam and they simply do not turn off until I turn off the auxiliary for Walls.

-
Hi Folks.
How does a wall volume get changed to an auxiliary and can I change it back?
 #-o :-k -
Thanks Dan and Jason for sharing your insights that 3ds export import SketchUp explanation.
-
Splendid Jason.
Thanks.
-
Hi everyone,
I have successfully imported my 3ds file into SketchUp. Looks great, thanks for the tip.

Any other tips on how to scale the model once in Sketchup? In the SketchUp scale function, I don't see any way to scale with a value.

Cheers.

Hey, thank you everyone. I have search high and low and tried different options and it seems the 3ds / sketchup setup is the way to go.

Hello
Can anyone recommend a simple viewer to send to client along with the model for them to view.
Thanks
-
Thank you for Sharing Markus!
I've been doing those manually.

dandepoe may indeed have been on the right track with the anti virus.
In AVG there is a feature called Resident Shield. Within that feature there is a dialogue box to create exceptions to whatever it is that Resident Shield does.
I created an exception for DIETRICHS09 through the path button and may problem seems to have gone away.Oddly enough, Resident Shield has no problem with DIETRICHS08.
