No they are not colored standard grey - they look like this. I send two pictures one with correct textures - mine and one from her drawings.

All right. I have made these textures, used them in a 3D construction model and then sent the model to another for production of production drawings. Now she of course do not have these textures. Can I send the texture files to her and ask her to copy the files into the texture folder, overwrite the existing files - and then my textures will show up in the 3D model on her computer??? But she don't have these materials in material database as well - guess that would be a problem?

You need a triangular piece of glass? You can make it oversize rectangular, draw the triangle with assisting geometry and then cut the glass panel to these lines. (you should use panel for the glass, not beam).
- If I understand you correct.

Ok, I have checked the driver version - and the installed driver version actually match the new driver version. So maybe it just needed a shut down of the computer and turn on next day, in order to take effect.
-
Ok - but now I just started to work in Dietrichs - and now the drawings are not blinking - at all. But listen here: When I was finished to install this driver, my short cut icons on my desktop was completely messed up. So I cleaned it up and deleted also a few of them. Later I was out and I think I just turned off the external monitor - or maybe I was just eating dinner. But anyway, when I came back the desktop was back to what it was before. I have no idea what have happened. Maybe the driver rolled back itself, because there was something it was not compatible with in my setup... (?). I probably could check, by checking version number of driver. Perhaps I will do that later.
-
Can be. How would I do that. Reset Windows to before I installed the driver?
-
Hi. Just got a message from Nvidia, that there was new driver for my graphic card. Installed it - and now my drawings are blinking 3 times, when I change text and 1 time if I press "save"...
I am of course not sure if that was the case also before I updated the Nvidia driver, but...Graphic card is Geforce GTX460M and I am by the way using an external monitor Asus VK278Q, but I don't think that should mean anything.

It could also be that you have forgotten to hide the wall volume??
-
Hi Rob.
Ok - thanks for the explanation. Sounds very "do-able". I don't quite understand what you mean with "individual export storages" - but probably that is something one will understand, if one has the 3Ds export module in Dietrichs.
-
Does that mean that to have good layers in Sketchup, you export first one layer (let's say facade boards) to sketchup, then you make another export, but this time for example the wall construction?? And so on. Then customers can turn off facade boards, if they'd like to see how the wall construction is made? It sounds a little bit long haired, but of course with a little bit of patience it can be done. Especially on big projects it could require patience. Of course you have the "filter" option in D-Cam - that helps.
I don't (really) see this as an advantage for customers (I mean for customers who is going to buy a house) - but I could see an advantage for the people on the building site. For example the building leader could have sketchup on his computer and if they would like to study something, related to mounting, they can then do that. Also in big projects, with more consulting people (architect, builder etc.) it could be an advantage.

#Brian. I see - very good to know. $375 is of course a relative high amount just for a export module. Especially if it is only for one export option (3DS). There are also 2 other 3D export options as far as I remember. If the price was for all 3, it could be said it might be ok. But for just one export option it is a little expensive. On the other hand - when it works so well as you tell, it might not be too bad.
But that also requires that, the model you make is made specifically for export, I think. A 3D construction model is perhaps not so useful for that. And you will almost allways have wall volumes, that needs to be hidden etc., to show the 3D model correctly.
In my case though, it seems like at least some of the 3D rendering companies I am talking with, does not require a 3D model as a necessary work base, but can do with 2D PDF drawings.

You are right. But you can search in google, t.ex. like this: "NCS s 3030-y20r color-swatches.com" - written in google search.
But to know the RGB values probably does not help to convert it to RAL.... But it could be useful for making textures and such.
-
All right - I tried to search in google directly on the NCS code. I found this webpage - can I use this information to anything???
-
26 EUR - well not too bad. Question being if it has all the NCS colors.
-
Looks good - but they doesn't say if it can convert from NCS to RAL. Can it? It doesn't look so on the full features list.
-
Probably a lot of people have had this problem before me. So I hope someone know a solution.
How to convert NCS colors to RAL and the other way around? For one of my projects the architect have specified some colors for facade, windows etc. T.ex. the windows and doors must be NCS S 7005-Y80R. But our window producers needs the RAL colors........... I have asked the architect for the corresponding CMYK or RGB colors, but I have a slight feeling this might not help, as CMYK and RGB are "computer colors", if I am not mistaken.

#Joachim; You are right - your method works in my PSP7.
Step by step - making the new layer:

Adjusting the size of brush, to paint a bigger area:

And the result of the "white" color:

I am sorry, but it doesn't look white, especially not when compared to the small icon of the foreground color. But it can maybe also be because of color settings of my external monitor. If I look directly at the monitor of my laptop, the colors looks different and white looks more white.
Then I was thinking: All right - Der_planner gave me the calculated RGB values corresponding to the CMYK values. Those I wrote down, and then I opened Photoshop 4 (PS4) on my old computer, input CMYK values and wrote down the RGB values that Photoshop were calculating. For the first two colors white and caffelatte, the difference is hardly to not visible, but for the other 3 colors Frost, Sahara and Polargrey, I think there is a slightly visible difference. Since Der_planners calculator is probably newer than my Photoshop 4, I will use the textures based on his values. The pictures below might show it. PSP7 in filename, means RGB values from Der_planner and PS4 in filename means RGB values from Photoshop 4.

Pictures continued.

Yes, I got the e-mail. But when I found out that I could work with the CMYK values in Photoshop, I tried that, because that would give a more precise color. I also saw in Photoshop, that it showed me the corresponding RGB values to the CMYK values and they were (as far as I remember) not the same as yours. (oh I could actually use that).
I try to follow your explanation in my version 7 of Paint Shop Pro. A little bit difficult and I didn't succeed yet, as you can see on below pics. But I am trying because I'd like to learn how to do this. But maybe my pictures can guide you to guide me in the right direction.
-
Ok, I am getting slightly confused now. I got RGB levels for the different colors, but couldn't figure out out to use that information in Paint Shop Pro or PhotoFiltre for that matter.
So I turned on my old computer and installed my old Photoshop 4. Here I found a toolbar, where I can adjust RGB values, but I also saw that I could adjust CMYK directly. Great, I thought. Color looked correct. Hmmm - but how to change the colors of the image????????????????????????????????
