    Hi.

I am now finished to install my new computer and to test the performance of it, I opened a project that I new my old computer had severe problems to show in OpenGl. With this my new computer I had expected that it would be no problem to open the 3D model fluently. But it was - I couldn't open it in OpenGl. Another model I could open (also on the old computer) but with as fluent motion as I had expected. Actually the "fluently" or lack of, was much the same as on my old computer.

My setup is now as follows:
    - Asus G73SW, with NVidia GeForce GTX 460, Core i7-2630QM, 16GB RAM, 2x500GB SSD/HDD.
    - External screen, Asus VK278Q. Connected with VGA cable and USB (USB for the built-in webcam - I think). I could use HDMI if I had a cable, but until further notice it is VGA.
    - External keyboard and mouse from Logitech.

Is there some settings somewhere, I need to do, to get a better OpenGL experience??

Another thing is that the picture on the external screen is slightly too much to the left. Anyone have any idea of how to adjust it??

Ok I have now downloaded this Gostscript file tar someting, unpacked it with 7zip and unpacked the unpacked file with 7zip and have now a folder Gostscripy 9.02 with files. But no file to install the program as far as I can see? How to do it??

I still use FreePDF XP with Windows 7 32bit and 64bit.

How did you install the GostScript? Directly from the webpage?

Yeah, I was actually thinking about that too, because I use PDFedit995, to assemble several PDF files into one file. Is PDF995 good to make PDF drawings??

    Hi.

Do some of you still use FreePDF XP?? I tried to install it on my new Windows 7 64 bit computer, but there was a problem to install Gostscript. So I am thinking to find another good PDF printer - what do you use?

Ok great. The paths where surprisingly correct - but it can be they are included in the way I have saved / transferred the program to the new computer. So now I have got the Dietrichs program icon on the desktop (but not in start menu - don't know how to do that, but that is perhaps also not important). The database program can I run from the Dietrichs main window - but how to get it in start menu or on the desktop as shortcut, I can't figure out.

If you have changed something - let's say in wall design; Then you output a new drawing. But if you want on the 2D drawing only to change the timber list, you just insert a small part of the drawing that you can delete afterwards - and then insert the new timber list.

    Hi.

I have often been thinkng about to clean up in my wall, ceiling and roof properties. You probably all know that after some time you have a lot of properties, because one often makes properties that are specific for a project or for testing something or...

But what would happen if one deletes, renames, rearranges these wall and ceiling properties? What about old projects, where these properties have been used??

Text, dimensions etc. are correct mirrored. But I am totally with you that you will have to check the drawing closely, move text, make new baseline dimension lines etc. to make the drawing look nice. It is bit of a work.

When I have situations like this where I want to mirror a whole drawing (for example wall elements, that are mirrored copies), I usually do as follows: I make a new empty drawing of big "paper size" and a scale that is the same as the original drawings or close to. Then I copy the content of the drawing (or the parts I want to mirror) to that drawing - and normally I can have contents from perhaps 4-5 drawings, in the one half of this big drawing. Then I mirror these 4-5 drawings at once and adjust dimension lines etc as necessary and copy it back to the original (or new) drawing.
