I have a hip rafter in roof design when I select single beam drawing from roof design, In D-Cad the dimensions are shown and one end view but not the lines of the hip rafter?

I think this could be a problem with the used colors. Did you use a template to create the drawing?
Please test the colors by starting the function 1-7-2 and then click on 'load standard'.
If you now see the missing lines you have a problem with the coors in your template. You now should create a new empty drawing with this template, load the standard colors and then save the template again. -

I followed your instructions but it did not work. I then tried the tabloid default and it worked. I guess at this point it only makes sense to create a new company template off the tabloid default.

Still having problems. It seems to happen when holes have been drilled in the hip and jack rafter. Again I get dimensions only, no beam lines. 8O

I am sorry for the late answer but I was on hollydays and because you did send an email to the company I got it today.
I have no problems with your hip rafter. But because of your drillings with a lot of different diameters at the same beam you get a lot of measures. The measures have fix size on paper so they need a fix amount of space on the drawing. They do not change size with the scale of the drawing. If the size of your paper is to small you will get problems with the drawing because there is no space left for the beams itself. Just try a bigger paper size and you will see that everything is ok. If you do not need a printed drawing with correct scale you can print a big drawing an a smaller paper.
