Rounded edge.

  • Hi.

Is there an "easy" way to make a rounded edge, t.ex. with a radius of 20 mm. I did this: Made a 90 degrees tube (in D-cam), with 20 mm inside radius. I make the wood (in wall design) that I want rounded edge on, and in D-cam I place the quarter tube at correct place on my timber and mirror it. Then with intersecting volumes I can make my two rounded edges.

    Is there an easier way??

There is an easier way in project data program. There you can define a material with your outline (contur) and in the timber design moduls you can use the ident number of this material to create the beam with rounded edges (or another contur).

  • Yes of course, that is correct. Of course the rounded edge is not really round, because you have to make the arc of straight lines. But it works, and that is what matters!
