I want to create a new type of joint, just like the one in the picture I've attached. How can I do this in Dietrichs? This one it is made in AutoCAD. Thanks
if you want to use this joint regularly, it would make sense to create a "Smart Tag". With a "SmartTag" you could create this joint nearly as comfortable as the "programmed" tools. For this, you would either need the "smart Tag editor", or someone else (e.g. a Dietrichs representative) would have to create the smart tag for you.
If you have to create the joint only once or twice, you can create the lap joints in the beam ends using "auxiliary beams" that have the same size as the lap joint or the notch.
