How to split a plate

    How can I split a beam, a ridge plate for example, to make it shorter and to joint the parts. (My plate is to long this way and I have to make it from 2 or 3 pieces). :question_mark: I know I can make two different plates and then I just have to joint them, but I'm asking if is another way. Thank you

    this is possible. Just select one of the functions 6-4-5 until 6-4-6.

    for the processes that could be used for a "length separation", e.g. "lap joint", you usually have two options: One option is "connect", which connects two different beams that you have entered before. The other option is "separate", which separates one existing beam into two beams.
