Separate Dimension Line

    When trying to do so it appears to be a clumsy process. When asked to select the extension line where to separate the dimension line it's not so clear on what's being selected and where is the 2nd point. Most of the time I try nothing happens. A video would probably be most helpful showing the process on how to do this. Please advise.

    Perhaps this image helps. Select the smal line on the side of the dimension line which is closer to the measured point.
