Glass normaly should be transparent automaticaly.
You can change the transparence in the properties of the volume. (mouse middle, volume information)
It could also be that you have forgotten to hide the wall volume??
Thanks guys, it was the properties that were at fault. All good now.
Hi Guys:
I'm having the same problem when i input a door/window in ground plan that has glass on it, always appear opaque. I know how to change the transparency in Object Info, but is there a way that i could set the transparency somewhere and then will work all the time?#
Start the project data program and open the material database (4-2). Search for your material yous use for the glass. There is a field called 'Translucent'. Enter the value you want to use (for example '25').
Thanks for the quick reply. I have tried that without any luck. As default that value was 70, i tried 25 as you recommended and then tried 90 but no success.
If you change that value in the database it will work for all volumes which you create afterwards. All volumes which already are entered in you project have to be changed in the construction program.
Use the activation filter in DICAM (8-7). Select the ident number and then select the function 2-08. Change the value in the dialogue box...
It worked nicely on version 11, not luck with version 10 but it is only for the jobs i was running on v10. Since i will be moving to v11 it shouldn't be a problem anymore.
Thanks for your help
