Spring cleaning in wall and ceiling properties?

  • Hi.

I have often been thinkng about to clean up in my wall, ceiling and roof properties. You probably all know that after some time you have a lot of properties, because one often makes properties that are specific for a project or for testing something or...

But what would happen if one deletes, renames, rearranges these wall and ceiling properties? What about old projects, where these properties have been used??

That's no problem. The projects contain the settings.
If you clean the settings in the program this "just" cleans the general settings but does not change the settings inside the project.

  • Ok, so the single projects remember the settings. And even though you need to be inside a project to do the cleaning up, you obviously does not delete properties that are used in that specific project.

    Yes, that is correct.
If I remember correctly then you are working with version 7. There are not much settings to clean.

  • What do you exactly mean with that? Yes, I am working with version 7.03. I am talking about wall properties, ceiling properties and roof properties that I have made my self.

I mean nothing special but since version 8 you can save settings in each dialogbox. This produces much more settings which could be cleaned as you have to do it. That's all.

  • Oh I see, I did not know that. With "save settings in each dialogbox" - do you mean that you can arrange properties in folders, after type of properties - or how ever the single user wants to sort them?
